“To truly cherish the things that are important to you, you must first discard those that have outlived their purpose.”

- Marie Kondo, Author and organizing consultant

Do you or other family members have coats that jam up your closet? Are you wearing all of them? Perhaps you were hoping that the fringe jacket from the ‘80’s will come back in style? But does it even really fit you anymore?

Instead of discarding, consider donating a coat today and help someone stay warm this winter! The Sleepy Hollow Social Club has partnered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin to help their population receive coats as temperatures drop.

They would like gently worn coats that are in good repair (e.g., no stains, no rips, the zipper works, no missing buttons, etc.) in all different sizes. The nicer ones they donate to Bloom to help outfit people for professional work; and then they distribute the more outdoorsy-ones, like fleece or gortex.

Do you have any coats that fall into this category? Perhaps your family and friends do too?

Come on down to the Community Center Saturday Dec. 18th or Sunday December 19th from 11-2pm to drop off your coats! *Pick ups can be arranged before 12/18 by replying to this email.

Thank you and Happy Holidays,

The Sleepy Hollow Social Club
