Play areas

As a result of the generous donations to the Sleepy Hollow Charitable Foundation from many Sleepy Hollow neighbors and countless hours of volunteer effort we are so excited to bring two updated play ares for young ones to enjoy under adult supervision!

Please note the following guidelines for appropriate ages and as a volunteer run organization we encourage everyone to help out in making sure play is safe for all! Adult supervision is required for all play areas and please report any issues to the Sleepy Hollow Charitable Foundation.

COVE PLAY AREA

Requires adult supervisor for children aged 2 to 5 years old.

Lawn Play Area

Guidance for Parents:

Adult Supervision is required for Traverse Climbing Wall

Know the rules and be sure your children know the rules for safe fun

Play Area Rules: Help Keep Yourself + Others Safe

Use all equipment only as intended.
Use Traverse Climbing Wall only with adult supervision.
Wear Shoes.
Use equipment only when dry. Surfaces are slippery when wet.
Avoid running, pushing, shoving.
Remove any sharp objects such as glass, rocks, from play area.

Traverse Climbing Wall Rules

User Ages: 5 – 12 Years

Maximum Number of Users: 5

Maximum Weight On Wall: 875 Pounds

Before Traversing

Be Sure:

An adult is available to supervise
No more than 5 children are on the wall

Be Safe:

Remove all jewelry
Wear shoes
Do not use if holds are wet

During Traverse

Help keep yourself and others safe:

Step down from wall – No jumping
No climbing to the top or over the wall
No climbing around, over, or under another child

Have Fun!

After Traversing: Report any damaged equipment to an adult.

The Lawn Play Area is for children ages 5-12 years old.

All structures were made by Koran Inc. The Climbing Wall was made by Everlast Industries. All phases of installation were performed by Playgrounds Unlimited, a licensed play ground installer.
