This Thursday is Cinco de Mayo, and the Sleepy Hollow Community Center will be alive with your friends and neighbors learning how to craft a truly proper margarita – from scratch, as well as the most popular cocktail in Mexico, the Paloma, and Sausalito’s contribution to tequila cocktail greatness, the tequila sunrise. And once again, we’ll be tasting what we’re learning how to make from the Marin IJ’s “Barfly” columnist and author of “Twenty Years Behind Bars,” Jeff Burkhart! He’ll demonstrate how to properly make three tequila-based cocktails as we taste professionally-crafted samples of each. Stick around after “class” and socialize with your friends and neighbors!
This will be the second meeting of the “Craft Cocktail Cabal,” a shadowy global organization that’s headquartered right here in Sleepy Hollow, dedicated to the surreptitious overthrow of tasteless cocktails made from cheap mixes. We’re looking for like-minded masters of the universe to join the Cabal!
