4th of July Fun Run, Parade & Social - Live Music & BBQ!

Sleepy Hollow & Friends, let's celebrate with a run, parade, bbq, live music by local band Stonefish and more!  Take a look at the line up below!

Please REGISTER #of kids & #of adults attending.  This is not necessary but helps us with planning food & drink quantities!

VOLUNTEERS needed!  Decorators, bakers, grillers, sellers, kids activities & more!  If you haven't already, please sign up and support your community!  We rely on volunteers to make events like this a success!

8:30 a.m. – FUN RUN – Sign-up begins at 8:30 a.m. near the entrance to Sleepy Hollow at Butterfield and Deer Hollow Road.  The plan is to start the race at 9:00 a.m. to avoid conflict with the parade. 

11:00 a.m. – PARADE – Register your float or parade participation idea at shhajuly4th@gmail.com.  Classic cars, decorated bikes, scooters, dogs, etc., all welcome, we just need you to register so we can organize the line-up.  SPECIAL NOTE:  You need to be at the entrance to Sleepy Hollow by 10:30 a.m. SHARP with your float or parade costume on!  

Note: Due to the ongoing drought, please cut back on water balloons and please no hoses.  As always, no water balloons until the Fire Truck has passed. Please pick up your own debris after the parade goes by.

Also police traffic management begins at 10:30, Butterfield Road closure from 11-12.

11:45  –  Flag raising, anthem singing, & pool swimming opens!  Pool games start at 2:00pm.

12:00 - 3:00 p.m. - BBQ Hot Dogs & Hamburgers grilled and served by volunteers in our community.  See the menu below.

$6 Hot Dog includes chips, watermelon and cookie

$11 Hamburger/Chicken Apple Sausage/Impossible Burger includes side salad or chips, watermelon and cookie

$11 Salad Entree includes chips, watermelon and cookie

2:00 – 5:00 p.m. – LIVE MUSIC – Our pool will be open until 8pm, so let the kids swim while you enjoy live music from local band Stonefish!

12:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Kids snacks & drinks ($1 each) and cold treats ($2 each) will be available for purchase (cash or tickets accepted - 10 tickets/$10 will be sold) at Kid's Snack Station.  Kids tables with festive activities for kids to enjoy! ***Volunteers needed to help with activity stations - older kids 10+ can earn 5 tickets for each hour they help out at a craft station - sign your older kid(s) up HERE!

12:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Non-alcoholic drinks, beer and wine will be served at the bar by members of the Sleepy Hollow Tennis Team (cash/credit/ApplePay).  Bring your reusable pint/wine tumbler (no jumbo water/coffee cups) and get your first drink free!

$1 Non-alcoholic drinks (soda & sparkling water)

$6 Beer, wine and spiked seltzers

$30 5 pack - unused drinks will go towards our ongoing fundraising efforts.

4:00 - 6:00 p.m. - Hog Island Oyster Bar (pay as you go) & charcuterie board!

5:00 - 8:00 p.m. - Pool will remain open

Don't forget water bottles labeled with name & number.  Join our ZERO WASTE MARIN efforts by bringing your reusable drink cups and your first pour of wine or beer is free!

As always, please be mindful of how you dispose of your trash.  COMPOST food and soiled paper products ONLY, RECYCLE cans & bottles ONLY, everything else (single use cups, chip wrappers, etc) goes into LANDFILL.  Contaminated compost and recycle bins get thrown into landfill so let's get it right!
