The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Program is designed to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants develop leadership skills, learn how to create a babysitter’s business, keep themselves and others safe, help children behave, and learn about basic child care.
In addition, the First Aid/CPR Training will provide babysitters with skills to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations, to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until medical help arrives.
This training is designed for youth ages 11-15.
