Sleepy Hollow & Friends!
There are just a few spots left in the 4th Annual Sleepy Hollow Cornhole Tournament! Registration will close at the end of the day on Thursday, September 5, so if you'd like to join the fun, now is the time to sign up!
Players will receive dinner and two drink tickets. All others can purchase taco & quesadilla plates for $15. Food will be served 4-8 PM. Beer, wine, sodas and kid's snacks & juice boxes will also be available for purchase, and the pool will be open until 8 PM for families and participants to enjoy.
Fans, friends and families are encouraged to come out and cheer the teams on in their quest for neighborhood glory! If you'd like to volunteer for a bartending shift or to bring a dessert to share, please sign up!
As with last year, we encourage creativity around team names and outfits.
Additional Tournament Info:
As we have done in the past, the tournament will begin with "Group Play." 20 teams of 2 will be broken up into 4 "Groups" and every team signed up for the tournament will play at least a total of 4 games (playing each team in your group once). At the end of Group Play the top two teams from each group (based on wins and net points scored) will emerge to compete in the Quarterfinal Round, then Semi-Final Round and Finals.
The schedule for tournament day is as follows:
Saturday, September 7th:

Opening Ceremony: 3:00 pm
- National Anthem
- Team Introductions
- Tossing of the First Bag by SHHA President Dave Baker

Group Play: 3:30 – 6:00 pm
- Group Play Games
- First team to 15 wins; winning team can score more than 15 points; once game is complete record scores at scoring table
- Play on a first come first serve basis, volunteers will be on premises to coordinate
- We will have at least 4 sets of boards so multiple games can be played at once during group play

Elimination Rounds (Quarter Finals and Semi Finals): 6:00 pm to 7:00pm
- Quarter Final Round
- Semi-Finals

Final Round to Crown Champion: 7:00pm
- Championship Game - Champion is Crowned and Awarded .......
Once the field is set (teams all signed up) we will assemble and distribute the group play brackets for the Group Play rounds so you can see your path to glory and begin to strategize.
Please remember this tournament is for adults 18 years and older. There will also be an opportunity to predict the winner of the tournament, if you guess right you can win SHHA swag. All proceeds will go toward needed improvements to the Sleepy Hollow Pool.
We are looking forward to another fun tournament. After all the games are finished only one team will stand and carry forth a full year of neighborhood bragging rights. Will it be you!?
