Get certified to save lives! The Sleepy Hollow Homes Association (a Licensed ARC Training Provider) is hosting a comprehensive lifeguarding course. This 2-year certification is essential for pool employment and a vital skill for water safety.

Schedule & Requirements

• Friday, May 8: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday, May 9: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Sunday, May 10: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Pre-work: 6–7 hours of online modules must be completed before the first session.

Who Can Join? Strong swimmers aged 15+ (by May 10).  Reservation priority is given to Sleepy Hollow members and Friends. Space is limited to 10 participants—register early!

Prerequisites On the first day, participants must demonstrate:

• 300-yard continuous swim (freestyle and breaststroke).
• Tread water for 2 minutes (no hands).
• Timed Brick Retrieval: Swim 25 yards, dive to 8 feet, retrieve a 10lb brick, and return to the start without a ladder.

Note: Minimum 6 participants required. Once the class is confirmed, no refunds can be issued unless your spot can be filled from the waiting list.
