  R.I.P.P.E.D - Don’t be intimidated by the name! An acronym for Resistance (biceps, triceps & shoulders sculpting), Intervals (cardio interval training), Power (legs, chest & back strength training), Plyometrics (athletic agility & cardio training), Endurance (mixed martial arts) and Diet (we don’t cover in class but check out the website!), this one stop body shop has it all.   RUMBLE - Cardio, Punches, Kicks & Sticks!  RUMBLE is a pre-choreographed cardio mixed martial arts based class. Within the RUMBLE class you will use a variety of kicks, punches, elbow and knee strikes as well as the opportunity to use our special RUMBLE Escrima stick.  Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!

  Body Sculpting - In this strength training, flexibility and core class, free weights and exercise bands will be used to strengthen and sculpt your body.

  Gentle Yoga - Gentle Yoga is a slower paced yoga class designed to accommodate bodies that are new to yoga or need to move with greater care. Students will build strength and flexibility and Kari will offer modifications to allow for a variety abilities

  Evening Yoga Flow - This is a mixed level class drawing from vinyasa, hatha and yin yoga. There will be flowing movement and time for stretching, rest, and meditation to wind down your day. This class is not recommended for beginners or those with restricted mobility. If you have restricted movement or are brand new to yoga please consider attending the Tuesday Gentle Yoga class first!

High Intensity Interval Training, Bootcamp, Metabolic Training, Cardio & Athletic Drills, Circuit Training, Mixed Martial Arts, RIPPED and more. Push yourself to the next level of you.

  Class Size: Minimum 7, Maximum 10 participants

  Minimum Age Requirement: At least 15 years old

  Dear Friends and Neighbors,

  We are excited to announce that the Sleepy Hollow Community Center and Pool will host an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Course this April! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn essential life-saving skills while earning a widely recognized certification that meets the requirements for most lifeguarding positions.

  Course Highlights

  • Instructor: The program will be led by Briggitte Kroetz, a Licensed American Red Cross Instructor. 
  • Blended Learning Format: The course includes 6-7 hours of online pre-work to be completed before in-person training begins. Once a minimum of 7 participants register, you’ll receive a link to the online coursework.

  In-Person Training Dates & Schedule

  • Saturday, April 26th: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Sunday, April 27th: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Monday, April 28th: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

  Please bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle, sunscreen, a bathing suit, towel, and warm clothes.

  Prerequisites for Participation

  Skill Assessment (conducted on the first day of in-person training):

  1. Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence:

     • Jump into the water, submerge completely, and resurface.
     • Swim 150 yards using front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination (no back or side strokes; goggles allowed).
     • Tread water for 2 minutes using only your legs.
     • Swim 50 yards using front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination.

  2. Timed Event (within 1 minute, 40 seconds):

     • Start in the water and swim 20 yards (goggles not allowed).
     • Submerge to a depth of 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
     • Swim 20 yards back on your back, keeping the object at the surface with both hands and your face above water.
     • Exit the water without using the ladder or steps.

  Required Equipment

  Participants will need the following items:

  • Lifeguard Hip Pack
  • Adult and Pediatric CPR Masks
  • Lifeguard Whistle

  These items can be purchased from the American Red Cross website, Amazon, and some other online websites. If you need help sourcing materials, feel free to reach out!

  *Upon successful completion of the course and final assessments, participants will earn a 2-Year American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification.
